Dual-function service robot concept that serves as both a chair and a small private office doubles up on functionality

This concept design for a service robot integrates the robot into a chair that doubles as a tiny, private office space. By focusing on usability and functionality, this concept aim to address the lack of interactivity and personal connection that current service robots have. The tablet attached to the robot’s arm acts as a brain, “face,” and interface, where guests can request services and get information. The design also includes common functions of service robots such as delivering items and keeping possessions, with the added feature of disinfecting objects using UV light inside its body. Overall, while the idea of a chair doubling as a service robot is interesting, more exploration and refinement is necessary for it to become a space-efficient personal office for mobile workers of the future.
